Trap-Neuter-Return

What is TNR?

Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County is the nation's longest-running TNR orgranization. The practice of Trap-Neuter-Return is the most safe and humane way of catching a feline that will be altered (spayed or neutered) then returned to its original location of capture without the ablity to breed and contribute to the feline overpopulation in our county.

The practice of Trap-Neuter-Return is the most safe and humane way of catching a feline that will be altered (spayed or neutered) within 24 hours. A cat should not remain in the trap longer than 24 hours so timing is key when preparing to capture the feline. Once the cat has been altered, it is returned to its original location of capture but now without the ability to breed and contribute to the overpopulation of felines in our county.
