If you like cats, are at least 18 years old*, and can make a commitment of six-eight hours/month for six months, this could be the place for you. Prospective volunteers attend a one-hour orientation prior to joining our volunteer corps. Orientations are designed to acquaint you with the history and philosophy of Forgotten Felines as well as introduce you to the variety of volunteer opportunities available with our organization.
Volunteer Orientations are scheduled once a month, from 10-11 a.m. and are held at our office in northwest Santa Rosa. To register for the next orientation, contact our volunteer coordinator by email or at 576-7999.
Please click here and fill out the attached form if you are interested in volunteering.
(*Children under 18 are welcome in some of our programs when accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to teach our cats how to use a washing machine. Until we crack that nut, pick up a bag of laundry (or two) and they will be eternally grateful.
Give love and attention to some needy cats. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our office. Every other Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 and every other Sunday from 1:00 to 4:30 at our Rohnert Park adoption room.
Help make sure our kitties find the perfect home. Sundays (weekly or bi-weekly) from 1:00-4:30 at our Rohnert Park adoption room.
It’s like cleaning a 9-foot square home. Every other Sunday 9:00AM at our Rohnert Park adoption room (one or two hours depending on the number of cats).
If you like solving puzzles, reading Sherlock Holmes and saving lives, this just may be for you. Help us get more cats spayed and neutered!
Spend a little bit of time dishing out food and water to colony cats. (We provide the food, you provide the water and love.) Opportunities in both Northern and Southern Santa Rosa.
As we approach altering 35,000 cats, now may be just the time for you to be part of the team that prevents future health issues, euthanasia instances, animal abuse and neglect before any can ever occur. It’s fast paced, highly rewarding and of course…fun too.
Foster kittens and help transform them from fearful creatures to loving adoptable family members.
If you can lift up to 25 pounds, you can help set-up new homes and provide new hope for cats in need of relocation.
Pick of the Litter provides retail therapy to its customers and much needed funds to Forgotten Felines. From sorting, donation intake, sales and spiffing things up, we have something for everyone.
