Colony Management

In the past, FFSC volunteers would provide Colony Management to anyone requiring this service. However, we no longer have the volunteer manpower available to provide this type of assistance.

Although we still maintain a large number of colonies throughout the county, at this time we are only able to assist people who are able to continue the colony management themselves.

It is estimated that there are as many as 80 million feral cats in the United States. This massive over-population of the domestic cat species exists because of human irresponsibility: failure to spay/neuter pet cats and animal abandonment. Furthering this problem is the absence of effective animal control programs to discourage these acts and deal humanely with their impact.
