Volunteer Program: Adoption Program Volunteer Title: PetsMart Liaison


Job Description: Introduce available cats and kittens to prospective adopters. Assist with adoption pre-screening. Answer general questions about Forgotten Felines and distribute information/educational materials as needed.

Job Qualifications: Must present a professional demeanor, have excellent communication skills, be cat savvy, and well versed in FFSC's Adoption Program policies and procedures.

Volunteers must also be able to:
  • Follow directions and work within the guidelines of the Adoption Program.
  • Work under the direction of the Adoption Program Coordinator and the Adoption Program Assistant.
  • Work cooperatively with other Volunteers, PetsMart Staff, and the public.
  • Understand and be able to articulate FFSC Adoption Criteria.
  • Lift, socialize, and care for program cats and kittens.
  • Use standard office equipment (fax machine).
  • Have reliable transportation.
Commitment and Hours: We ask that all volunteers consider no less than a six-month commitment to Forgotten Felines. Hours are 12-4, Saturdays and Sundays at PetsMart in Rohnert Park. Volunteers are expected to sign-up for at least one four hour shift per month.

Training: One-on-one training is provided for this position.

Equipment & Supplies: Any supplies needed will be provided.
