FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

June 28, 2007 12:50pm Update He went home last night with the Vet Tech, Tina, who is primarily caring for him. Her husband stayed up with him until 2am. They watched wrestling on TV together. Then Tina took over at 2am and they watched the sun rise. He continues to purr, knead and is grooming himself. He is gaining weight and continues to eat voraciously both wet and dry food. Yesterday a surgeon from Animal Care Center experienced with burn cases came to see him. She made a few suggestions about his care, but overall, said we are doing everything that needs doing. Good prognosis..the vets think we've turned the corner.

With regard to the investigation - Sonoma County Animal Care & Control has two officers assigned to this case and we are satisfied with their progress and confident in their abilities to apprehend the perpetrators. They have several leads, but must be careful about the information they are giving out in order not to jeopardize successful prosecution of the case.

Many thanks for your continued well wishes, prayers and contributions to the cause.
