FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

June 26, 2007 5:16pm Update First of all, I'd like to thank those of you who have made donations to help with the cost of Adam's care and those who are expressing your care and concern. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Last night (Monday, 6/25/07) Dr. Hinkle at Animal Hospital of Cotati took Adam home to monitor his condition. Her teenage daughter, Samantha, stayed up with him all night. (She finally went to bed at 6:00am) During the night he made attempts to groom himself and play with a cat toy. He continues to respond to petting and even stood up to have a bowel movement. Although we are taking one day at a time, these little signs of normal kitten behavior are encouraging and reinforce our interpretation of Adam's desire to go on living.

There have been several people calling to offer Adam a home once he has recovered and lots of people expressing their disgust and shock at how someone could do such a horrific act.

The reward has now grown to $6000, and the authorities have been talking to the children who saw the incident occur.

Channel 2 will be featuring the story on the news tonight. We will continue to keep you updated on Adam's progress and the apprehension of those who committed this crime.
