Job Qualifications: Volunteers must be reliable, observant, conscientious, cat savvy and have strong backs. Volunteers must also be able to: Follow directions and work within the guidelines of the Adoption Program. Work under the direction of the Adoption Program Coordinator and/or the Adoption Program Assistant. Work cooperatively with other Volunteers and Shelter Staff. Recognize and report any signs of illness or injury in adoptable cats and kittens. Perform a variety of physical activities such as: carrying litter pans, kneeling, cleaning out cages, lifting food buckets, moping floors, and doing laundry. Have reliable transportation. Commitment and Hours: We ask that all volunteers consider no less than a six-month commitment to Forgotten Felines. Kennel Assistants volunteer in the mornings, for a two-hour shift once a week, every other week, or once a month depending on their schedule.
